Interlibrary loans (ILLs) work a little differently from items you normally check out from West Slope Library. Here are some things you need to know:
ILLs are free. Most interlibrary loans are free; if the lending library requires an additional charge, we will contact you before processing the request.
ILLs are limited to 5 active requests. Interlibrary loans that you check out do not count against your limit.
ILLs take time. Since interlibrary loans come from outside the county (sometimes from international locations), allow a few weeks for processing the request and mailing the item.
Video games are not available for ILL.
Brand new titles are not available for ILL. If there is a book, film, or album released in the past year that you would like to borrow, fill out our Suggest a Purchase form.
To request an ILL, search WorldCat and make the request there. If you already know exactly what you need, fill out our ILL request form, which will be sent directly to our library staff. Otherwise, feel free to call us at 503-292-6416.
